Today ’s pic are from Bob Murray , who says,“Twelve long time ago we outgrew the planting on our existing prop and so resolve to start up brisk . We bought a 3 - acre wooded lot in Glastonbury , Connecticut , selectively net it , and then began build up our garden and home .
“ Since the property is on a gradient we had to terrasse it and that lead to the instauration of a sunken Japanese garden with pools and ponds at the root . The woods in front of the house became a woodland garden fill with exotic tad plants .
“ We now have 2 acres of perennials and exotic Tree . We take large pleasure in give our gardens to garden clubs throughout the Northeast . For the last seven years we have also take part in the Garden Conservancy Open Days Program . On September 8 our gardens will be opened from 10 to 4 post-mortem as part of their fall Open years . We receive all of your readers in the area to come by . For steering go togardenconservancy.org/opendays . ”
