From apple orchard to garden
Today we ’re visiting with MJ McCabe .
We buy this place in Northford , Connecticut , about 40 years ago . It was a formerapple orchard . Gradually , the ancient apple tree diagram protrude to decline , and we were left with a fair vacuous canvas that needed to be rethought . Weprunedand cared for a few of the apple tree diagram , as they provided some nice structure and shade . One of my first stair was to start thinking of creatinggarden rooms — individual expanse that would ferment well together but allow for a more cohesive look to the overall landscape .
Thenew trees and shrubshave arise nicely over the year — many perennials andmass plantingsofspring bulbshave made the garden a beautiful backdrop to our 1890 home .
