make fresh food without electricity has slap-up advantages for those concerned in food security . We ’ve had so many powerfulness outage where we know ( the electricity tune going through timberland trees ) that get solid food on hired hand that is n’t dependant on electricity is a major fillip .
Although I ’m trying to have ayear - round gardenfor awesomefall and winter vegetables(even with our Canadian winters & snow ! ) , there is a stage when the snow becomes too deep and crop have to be harvested and stored in ascendant cellars .
