Saturday was a good day for Old World Garden Farms !
15 calendar month ago , when we first get down this blog to written document building our little farm – we finger fortunate to have a few follower and a few hundred visitors each week . We enjoyed sharing our 3 hebdomadal update , The Sunday Farm Update Post , Tuesday DIY and gardening articles , and our Friday recipes .

We used to joke about someday getting to 10,000 visitors , and a 100 followers . Well , yesterday – in what still seems brainsick to us – we surpass our 1,000,000th visitor to the website and our 11,000th e-mail follower !
The milestone could n’t have number at a better sentence – as we have a lot of exciting new ventures go on at the farm and the blog . We figured it was a great time to announce them today on the Sunday Update .

Maybe the most exciting news of the week is being selected byHometalkto host a Meet - Up that will be taking place later this summertime in Central Ohio . For those that do n’t know – Hometalk is an incredible website devoted to DIY , Gardening And Landscaping – and create a weapons platform for masses to instantly tap into others hard - earned experience . They have feature many of our projects on their site in the past yr , and we are so emotional to be chosen to co - host a meet up case with them on our favorite subject – gardening !
We have been working with Miriam Illions , the Director Of Community Development for Hometalk , to host the event here in Central Ohio . We are still working out the details , but we will be partner with Hometalk and a local Central Ohio Greenhouse to host an afternoon covering gardening techniques and tip that we use at the farm – include compost , raised layer gardening and more . We will even have a a demo on act with pallets to ramp up your own compost ABA transit number . It will be a gravid twenty-four hour period to divvy up horticulture approximation and scatter the word about one of our favorite site , Hometalk .
We will be sure to bring out all the particular of the event in next Sunday ’s situation . If you are skinny to the Columbus , Ohio country – we bid you to fall on over and meet with us and share in a great day . While we are at it , we also require to take a moment to thank so many other blogs and websites that have helped us grow over the last year by showcasing our narrative , recipe and gardening tips . Last but not least – we lead a huge Old World Garden Farm “ give thanks You ” to everyone who has visited , commented and partake in our tale to get us to our first million visits . We finger so fortunate to have such wonderful and patriotic followers , and hope you continue along with us as our story at Old World Garden spread . We hope someday , to document the intact journey in our ultimate dream – the composition and publishing of a book about our fiddling farm . More than anything else , we will continue to do what we love the most – work and build our little farm one 24-hour interval at a clip .
